posted on

The Greater Northeast Motorcoach Association proudly honored Tim Stout during its 2026 Fall Association Meeting. After 15 years as President, he was recognized for his exemplary leadership and service to GNEMA.

As Tim begins his final year of Board service as Immediate Past Chair, GNEMA members, Board members, industry partners, and colleagues came together to celebrate the lasting impact of his leadership, and the important role he has played in shaping the association.

Throughout his tenure, Tim helped guide GNEMA through periods of growth, change, and opportunity while strengthening the association’s reputation, expanding its influence, and positioning it for continued success. His commitment to collaboration, advocacy, professionalism, and member service has left an enduring mark on both the association and the motorcoach industry.

Among the many milestones achieved during Tim’s leadership were:

  • Helping lead GNEMA’s transformation from its roots as an Atlantic City and later New Jersey-based organization into the regional association it is today, significantly expanding its membership footprint and industry influence.
  • Strengthening GNEMA’s ability to advocate on behalf of the motorcoach industry at the regional and national levels, including support for efforts that ultimately helped secure billions of dollars in federal COVID relief funding for the motorcoach industry.
  • Supporting the development of the GNEMA Scholarship Award Program, creating new opportunities to recognize and support members of the GNEMA community looking to advance their careers through higher education.
  • Expanding the association’s Motorcoach Professional Award Program beyond professional drivers to recognize a broader range of outstanding motorcoach industry employees.
  • Helping guide membership growth that ultimately led members to formally approve GNEMA’s evolution to the Northeast regional organization.
  • Establishing traditions that celebrate GNEMA’s history and the people who helped shape it, including the Toast to Tommy event in memory of Past President Tom Dugan.
  • Fostering an association culture built on relationships, collaboration, member engagement, and a shared commitment to strengthening the motorcoach industry.

Tim was presented with a beautifully engraved crystal Leadership Award in recognition of his exceptional service and lasting contributions to GNEMA.

Members also viewed a special tribute video featuring photographs spanning Tim’s years of leadership, along with heartfelt messages from longtime members, past and current Board members, industry partners, and staff whose lives and careers have been positively impacted by his leadership.

Incoming Chair Michelle also shared reflections on Tim’s legacy and the strong foundation he has helped build for GNEMA’s future.
