Matt Maglio of Greyhound Lines Joins GNEMA Board of Directors

We are pleased to announce that Matt Maglio, Regional Vice President for Region 1 for Greyhound Lines, has been approved by the voting members to join the GNEMA Board of Directors.

Matt’s industry experience and leadership will further strengthen GNEMA’s already strong Board.

Matt's Bio

Matt Maglio is a transportation industry leader currently serving as Regional Vice President for Region 1 at Greyhound Lines, where he oversees operations, safety, and performance across one of the company’s most complex regions.

Known for his results-driven leadership style, Matt has built a reputation for transforming operations, improving reliability, and fostering a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Prior to his current role, Matt served as a Safety Director, where he developed and implemented programs focused on driver performance, regulatory compliance, and accident reduction. His strong foundation in safety continues to influence his leadership approach today, ensuring that operational success is always grounded in protecting passengers, employees, and the communities served.

Matt has played a key role in driving measurable improvements across his region, including significant gains in on-time performance, maintenance reliability, and KPI achievement. Under his leadership, his team—known as “Team North Beast”—has consistently delivered top-tier results, earning recognition for operational excellence and performance.

Beyond his role at Greyhound, Matt is an active leader within the broader motorcoach and transportation industry. He serves as Vice Chair of the American Bus Association’s Bus Industry Safety Council (BISC), where he collaborates with industry peers, regulators, and stakeholders to advance safety standards and share best practices. He is also a frequent speaker at industry events, presenting on topics such as driver fatigue management and operational safety.

Matt is passionate about developing people and building strong teams. He is known for mentoring leaders at all levels of the organization and creating opportunities for growth within the workforce. His leadership philosophy emphasizes accountability, communication, and empowering individuals to perform at their highest level.
